SS St. Louis
Mrs. Andrea Friedman's 8th grade class from Kellman Brown Academy in Voorhees, NJ created a book of poetry on the events surrounding the fate of the SS St. Louis during WWII. Its cover included original artwork by 8th grader, Lior Algrably, which is now shown in our newly created Art Gallery.

The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire
Allen Gottlieb's students from the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr, PA submitted a variety of essays and poems on the tragic events of The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire of 1911. This event served as a watershed for new laws on working conditions, and building codes.

Our new Art & Video Galleries are open for submission from Jewish Middle School Students.
The galleries are not currently part of the contest, and are meant to showcase student talent. Inclusion in the Galleries is subject to selection by our committee.
